Traveloka sponsored the GSTC Sustainable Tourism Training held in the Potique Hotel in Nah Trang, Vietnam, December 12-13, 2024. The two-day training was led by GSTC Trainer, Trang Nguyen who shared his expertise with practical examples and insights.
Attendees had the chance to listen to esteemed guest speakers: Ms. Ha Thi Dieu Vien, Deputy General Manager of Silk Sense Hoi An River Resort (a 5-star resort in Quang Nam province, central Vietnam, and the first zero plastic resort in Viet Nam), Mr. Bobby Nguyen, CEO, Mekong Rustic (community-based homestay and bungalows in Mekong Delta, Southern Vietnam) and a Representative from Chay Lap Farmstay, part of Oxalis Adventure (3-star village farm stay in Quang Binh province, central Vietnam).
The GSTC Sustainable Tourism Course provided 20 participants with the essential knowledge and skills to champion sustainable tourism practices. It presented an excellent opportunity to delve into the GSTC Criteria the global standards for sustainability in tourism and travel. The inclusion of global and local case studies enhanced the value of the training.
Upon successful course completion, participants receive a certificate of completion and become eligible to take an optional official exam to obtain the GSTC Professional Certificate in Sustainable Tourism.
