The GSTC Sustainable Tourism Training in Kuala Lumpur concluded successfully

GSTC Trainer Partners, Mind Mingle Mentor Services led the GSTC Sustainable Tourism Training for tourism professionals in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The training was held in the ​​Glenmarie Hotel Shah Alam from July 30th to August 1st, 2024, and was conducted by GSTC Trainer Kingston Khoo, who shared his knowledge and expertise with practical examples and valuable insights. Attendees also had the chance to listen to the esteemed guest speaker Ms. Carron Lee.

Participants went on a Field Trip to The RuMa Hotel KL, the First Hotel in Peninsular Malaysia to be certified as sustainable, nestled in the very heart of Kuala Lumpur’s Golden Triangle.

The GSTC Sustainable Tourism Course provided the 12 participants with the essential knowledge and skills to champion sustainable tourism practices. It presented an excellent opportunity to delve into the GSTC Criteria the global standards for sustainability in tourism and travel. The inclusion of global and local case studies enhanced the value of the training.

Upon successful course completion, participants receive a certificate of completion and become eligible to take an optional official exam to obtain the GSTC Professional Certificate in Sustainable Tourism.
