The GSTC Sustainable Tourism Course, held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, from June 5th to 7th, 2024, in Bahasa Indonesian, concluded successfully. Wise Steps Consulting, a GSTC Training Partner, conducted the training. 

Successful GSTC Sustainable Tourism Course in Yogyakarta, Indonesia Mr. Mochamad Nalendra, a GSTC Trainer and the Founder and CEO of Wise Steps Consulting, expertly led the training session, providing valuable insights and practical guidance to the participants. The course featured two guest speakers who enriched the learning experience: Sugeng Handoko, the Local Champion of Nglanggeran Village, and Sri Mujiyati, the Director of Via Via Travel Yogyakarta.

Successful GSTC Sustainable Tourism Course in Yogyakarta, Indonesia As part of the training, participants visited the Greenhost Boutique Hotel Yogyakarta to gain firsthand insight into the hotel’s sustainable practices. They also visited Nglanggeran Village in Yogyakarta.

The GSTC Sustainable Tourism Course provided participants with the essential knowledge and skills to champion sustainable tourism practices. It presented an excellent opportunity to delve into the GSTC Criteria the global standards for sustainability in tourism and travel. The inclusion of global and local case studies enhanced the value of the training.

Upon successful course completion, participants receive a certificate of completion and become eligible to take an optional official exam to obtain the GSTC Professional Certificate in Sustainable Tourism.
