The Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) is proud to announce the launch of its new training course tailored specifically for Tour Operators (TOs).
The new GSTC Sustainable Tour Operator Course (TOC) is designed to equip professionals in the field with the knowledge and tools to implement the GSTC Tour Operator Criteria effectively. This comprehensive program will delve into sustainability principles, strategies for reducing environmental impacts, and approaches to enhance the social and economic benefits of tour operator activities. Participants will also gain insights into best practices, enabling them to align with global sustainability standards and excel in sustainable operations for inbound tour operators / DMCs (Destination Management Companies) and outbound tour operators.
This comprehensive self-study program is offered in two versions: TOC General Tourism Forms and TOC Coastal Tourism. It goes beyond conventional training by providing participants with an in-depth understanding of sustainable practices tailored to different targets depending on the nature of their activity.
“This course is designed to empower tour operators with the practical knowledge and strategic insights needed to integrate sustainability into their operations effectively. By aligning with the GSTC Tour Operator Criteria, participants will not only enhance their business resilience but also contribute to the long-term well-being of destinations and communities,” said Randy Durband, GSTC CEO.
The programs will be delivered through online and in-person formats.
