The GSTC and the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism (MICT) of Lao PDR, with the support of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), are hosting a 3-day workshop (11-13 January 2017) with a focus on sustainable tourism destination management and development.
Using the GSTC Criteria for Destinations as the framework, the workshop covers key topics such as sustainable tourism standards and certification, tourism’s roles in the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and best practices in destination management, both from the policy and development perspectives.
