Green Dreams for the Planet (GDP), a non-profit foundation in India focused on environmental education and sustainability action, is the newest addition to the GSTC’s Sustainable Tourism Training Program (STTP).
As a Training Partner, GDP will organize and deliver STTP training classes in India, supporting the goal of «ensuring that sustainable tourism best practices are adopted and implemented by the industry».
GDP plans to offer the first STTP training class in Spring 2018, to be hosted at the eco resort Our Native Village near Bangalore. Designed as a intensive and interactive training experience led by expert GSTC Trainers, STTP training classes offer a unique opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of the GSTC Criteria, the global baseline standards for sustainability in travel and tourism, and the roles of accreditation and certification in advancing the sustainability agenda in the tourism industry.
