Value Management Co., Ltd. (VMG) did a GSTC Sustainable Tourism Training for their employees in Osaka, Japan. The three-day training in Japanese was held from the 22nd to the 24th of September 2023.
The training was led by GSTC Trainer, Kazuhiro Arai, Representative, Daisetsuzan Nature School who shared his knowledge and expertise with practical examples and valuable insights.
Participants had the opportunity to do a site visit to the Hikasa River, which runs through the eastern part of Okayama Prefecture and learned and spoke about initiatives for nature restoration throughout the visit.
The GSTC Sustainable Tourism Course provided participants with the essential knowledge and skills to champion sustainable tourism practices. It presented an excellent opportunity to delve into the GSTC Criteria the global standards for sustainability in tourism and travel. The inclusion of global and local case studies enhanced the value of the training.
Upon successful course completion, participants receive a certificate of completion and become eligible to take an optional official exam to obtain the GSTC Professional Certificate in Sustainable Tourism.
