In 2024, Japan hosted seventeen GSTC Sustainable Tourism Trainings, reinforcing the country’s commitment to sustainable tourism development. These sessions, held across various regions, have provided hospitality professionals, destination managers, and tourist industry stakeholders with essential knowledge and skills for advocating sustainable tourism practices; allowing attendees to learn in depth the GSTC Criteria, the global standards for sustainability in tourism and travel.

We sincerely appreciate the support of the sponsors in Japan for making the GSTC Sustainable Tourism Trainings possible: Japan Tourism Agency (JTA), Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau  (TCVB), Nagano Tourism Organization, Hyuga City Experience-based Tοurism Creation Council (HTCC), and Setouchi Tourism Authority, among others. Your contribution has provided valuable learning opportunities and fostered knowledge exchange. Thanks to your support, participants have been able to engage with important topics and further their understanding of sustainability. We are grateful for your commitment and collaboration in advancing these initiatives.
