Mr. Luigi Cabrini, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) was given an Honorary Fellowship for his “profound contributions to the environment, economy, and society.”

On July 29th, the Social Enterprise Research Academy (SERA) hosted the ‘Fellowship & Honorary Award Presentation Ceremony 2019’ at Hong Kong Baptist University. The Fellowship & Honorary Award aims to select and commend outstanding individuals from various places with profound social contribution and impact, to establish models in various industries and encourage talents to enhance the awareness of ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance), and to motivate the community to nurture enterprises with corporate sustainability, driving the future development of Asia. The visionary statement of SERA is “Harness the Market to bring Social Change”.”

It represents an appreciation of the efforts of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council to promote tourism as a force for good, and as an instrument to advance toward the Sustainable Development Goals,” said Mr. Luigi Cabrini, GSTC Chair.

The mission of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council, that I have the honor to chair for the last few years, is to shift the balance toward the positive benefits that tourism can create for local communities, cultural heritage, and the environment, and to minimize its negative impacts,” Mr. Cabrini added.
