ASEAN Forum 2025The ASEAN Tourism Forum 2025 is being held under the theme ‘Unity in motion – Shaping ASEAN’s Tourism Tomorrow” from the 15th to the 20th of January 2025, at the Persada Johor International Convention Centre, in Johor, Malaysia.

GSTC CEO, Randy Durband participated in the session titled “Charting Tourism for ASEAN: Trends Defining the Next Decade” along with PATA CEO Noor Ahmad Hamid and Giuliana Riitano, Strategic Partnership at Booking Holdings; the discussion was moderated by Nigel Wong, President of the Malaysian Association Of Tour And Travel Agents (MATTA). Together they delved into key trends shaping the future of ASEAN tourism over the next decade, from emerging destinations and technological advancements to sustainability and shifting traveler preferences.

GSTC CEO Randy Durband, highlighted the pivotal role that sustainability is and will play in shaping the future of tourism in ASEAN. He emphasized the importance of integrating sustainable practices across the tourism sector to meet the growing demand for responsible, sustainable travel.
