The GSTC Board of Directors plays an integral role in the leadership of the organization. Most seats on the board are filled via annual elections of and by current members of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council. The GSTC Election Committee has validated the votes and released the results of the 2024 election.

Two board members were newly elected to 3-year terms: Inge Huijbrechts Chief Sustainability and Security Officer at Radisson Hotel Group and Jorge Moller, Director of Regenera NGO. Two board member were re-elected to 3-year term: Matt Callaghan, Chief Operating Officer at easyJet holidays and Kathrin Möllers Director Sustainability & ESG, TUI Group.

Commenting on the election, GSTC Board Chair, Luigi Cabrini stated: “I wish to warmly welcome the elected board members. During the last 15 years the GSTC Board of Directors has played a key role in defining the mission of the organization, which is today a global reference for setting sustainability standards in tourism. The new board members will contribute to steer the strategy and policy of GSTC with their expertise, commitment and influence.»

The new term will begin on September 1st.


Members of the GSTC Board of Directors are elected by current members of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC). All GSTC members in good standing are eligible to nominate candidates for the board and to cast votes in the election. Non-members are not eligible for nomination and are encouraged to become members for at least one year prior to running for board election.
