The Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) would like to inform a significant change in our cooperation with the Assurance Services International (ASI).
Since 2014, GSTC and ASI have been working in close collaboration to implement its accreditation program in sustainable tourism. During this nearly decade-long partnership, the partnership between GSTC and ASI has contributed to upholding and promoting the highest standards in sustainable tourism certification.
GSTC has made a strategic decision regarding the management of the accreditation process for Certification Bodies (CBs) certifying to the GSTC Industry Criteria. As a result of this decision, GSTC will assume this responsibility, effective 1st October 2023. The transition of accreditation activities from ASI to GSTC took place during the month of September.
The Global Sustainable Tourism Council expresses its gratitude towards ASI who have been meaningful partners in GSTC’s journey.
