We highly recommend attending the live, virtual sessions. However, the sessions will be recorded and participants will be able to watch the recordings any time during the course period.

ABOUT THE COURSE
Applied DEI in Travel Online Course
The GSTC Applied DEI course will be offered as a 1-week facilitated and interactive training class. The online course offers a convenient way to improve your knowledge of the human-related aspects of sustainability as well as the social aspects, whether you are new to the topic of are already engaged with these efforts.
The course will start by delving deep down into the concepts of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion followed by best practices. After learning how these concepts effect our everyday lives, we will learn how these terms are related to the specific GSTC Criteria in social sustainability.
The course will include a practical application component, allowing participants to explore how these topics can be utilized within their roles and organizations.
TRAINERS
Dr. Soyoung Lee
So Young Lee is the project manager at Global Sustainable Tourism Council. She was born in Korea but spent her childhood and teenage life in Europe. Her passion for human behavior toward nature has led to her professional career as project manager at GSTC. She is committed to sustainability and is convinced that diversity and inclusion can bring innovative solutions to sustainable development. Having lived half of her life in Korea and half in Europe (1 year in the US) she will contribute to enrich the course by reflecting on her experience and knowledge.
So Young has a bachelor degree in Business Administration from Seoul National University, but then continued with Forest Sciences in her masters in the same school. Wanting to her continue her studies in innovation and sustainability, she pursued a Ph.D in Project planning and evaluation at the Technical University of Madrid. Her main focus was on enhancing interactive innovation through self-evaluation tools and impact assessment.

- US$ 235 per person (GSTC Member*)
- US$ 200 per person (For those who have taken / registered for the GSTC sustainable tourism course**): Please choose the “Add-on” option when registering for the course.
*For GSTC Organization members, the above member discount is available to all staff members and can be used for an unlimited number of times.
**The discount cannot be combined with the GSTC Member rate. If you have an add-on discount code, please select the ‘regular, non-member’ option, even if you are a GSTC member.
What’s Included
As part of your registration, you will receive training materials to be provided before the course; access to the online training platform; and a Certificate of Completion confirming your attendance in the class.
