28-29 September 2016 – The « International Innovation Tourism Meeting” was held in Bogotá D.C., and was supported by the National Training Service (SENA), Antonio Nariño University (UAN), Colombian Association of Food Industry (ACODRES), Colombian Federation of Ecoparks, Ecotourism and Adventure Tourism (FEDEC) and others. The conference was addressed by Natalia Naranjo, GSTC Representative to Colombia and Ecuador, who stressed the importance of reaching a high level of sustainable tourism awareness among tourist actors and adoption of GSTC Criteria in Colombia.
Nearly 300 participants from the tourism industry, academy, multiethnic local community, government and consultants, reported a great advance in knowledge, education and sustainability. Twenty speakers and two meeting chairman, including two experts from the Peruvian Society of Gastronomy (APEGA), exchanged valuable information and experiences.
